I think the book the outsiders by S.E. Hinton is a good book because it was one of the books that just caught my attention. I don't usually get into books that often and this one I just didn't want to put down. See in the beginning Ponyboy  was walking home from the theater and he gets jumped from the Socs. His brothers Soda and Darry came with the rest of the Greasers and scared them away but Ponyboy still was cut on his neck and had bruises on his cheek from where they had punched him. Then he had went to the movies with Darry and Johnny and Ponyboy and Johnny met two girls named Cherry and Marcia. Then there boyfriends came and Johnny got scared and so did Ponyboy. So then Johnny went to the vacant lot with Johnny and they fell asleep and when they went home Darry hit Ponyboy and Ponyboy ran away and took Johnny with him then when they got to the park some Socs pulled up in there mustang and went to jump Johnny and Ponyboy but   when they started to drown Ponyboy, Johnny pulled out his switchblade and stabbed one of the Socs and the rest fled. Johnny and Ponyboy went to Dally who was there kid brother who is older then them and they got a gun and money and escaped to Windrixville. They hid in an abandoned church until Dally came and took them to Dairy Queen and when they went back to the church the church was on fire and Ponyboy, Johnny and Dally went and saved some kids that were inside and they saved them but they were burnt. So they were taken to the hospital and Dally and Ponyboy were OK but Johnny's burn were severe and he died. Then Soda took Ponyboy home and they had a rumble with the Socs and they won.
